Description

This is an early 19th-century lime kiln located at SX 934 556 in Brixham. It is constructed from slatestone rubble and has a rectangular plan. The kiln features a wedge-shaped opening with a segmental arch made of voussoirs leading into the kiln chamber. In front of the kiln, there are remains of a forehouse with high flanking walls that once supported a lean-to roof.
