Description

This is an 18th-century lime kiln located at SX 368 565 in Sheviock. It is constructed from stalestone rubble and built into the rock face. The kiln features a double cell design, measuring approximately 4 metres by 7 metres, with walls that have a slight batter. There are round-arched openings on each side, which are vaulted inside, and a stoking hole is located at the rear. The structure is in good condition.
