Description
The Railway Viaduct over the River Tiddy was built in 1908, replacing an earlier structure from 1855. It is constructed of snecked rockfaced granite rubble and brick. The viaduct features thirteen arches, supported by battered rectangular plan piers with imposts. The arches are round and have brick dressings. There is a granite string course with a brick parapet, which has been partially removed on the east side. Above each pair of arches, the string course is supported by stone corbels, and the brickwork of the parapet is stepped out to form pilasters.
