Description
New Ing Farmhouse is a building that was originally constructed as a coaching inn and was converted into a farmhouse by 1815. It likely dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. The exterior features incised stucco and a graduated slate roof with a stone ridge. The building is three storeys high and has four bays. There is a part-glazed door located in a late 19th-century gabled porch, with one window to the right and two to the left. Each upper floor has four windows, with the second floor featuring smaller windows. All windows are late 20th-century casements that have replaced the original sashes, set within stone surrounds. The farmhouse has stone chimneys located in the middle and at the ends. An adjoining barn at the south end is not of interest.
