Description
The scullery range, located to the east of Shap Abbey farmhouse, is a building that is now used as a garage and for storage. It likely dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. The structure is probably constructed from re-used stone from the Abbey, featuring coursed, squared rubble and a graduated slate roof. It is a single-storey building with five bays. There are three plank doors, double garage doors to the right, and a fixed 16-pane window to the left. A stone chimney is situated at the north end, which also contains a part-blocked fireplace with set-pots on either side in the north end room. This building is included for its group value.
