Description
Fold Cottage is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century, with later additions. It is constructed of roughcast stone and has a slate roof. The building has two storeys and features five irregular bays. The windows vary in style, with most being casements. The central two bays have first-floor windows that are lower than the others, while the fifth bay on the ground floor includes a three-light wooden chamfered-mullioned window with one intermediate bar. There are three entrances; two of these have gabled timber porches, and one features a trellis porch with a wide-boarded door. The house has a gable-end stack and a cross-axial stack. At the rear, there are sashed windows with glazing bars in the first two bays. There is a barn to the right of the house, but it is of no special interest.
