Description

Sawrey Fold Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1700, as indicated by a diamond panel. It is built of roughcast stone and has a slate roof. The building has two storeys and four bays, with the first bay being lower and possibly added later. The windows are primarily two-light casements, except for the ground floor's fourth bay, which features a three-light casement, and the second bay of the ground floor, which has two windows. There are entrances in the first and third bays, each with gabled trellis porches. The gable-end stacks are corbelled out and have round shafts. At the rear, there is a gabled wing with an end corbelled stack and a window that has a horizontally sliding sash, along with a re-entrant stair wing under a cat slide roof adjoining the wing.
