Description

The Former Friends Meeting House, now a dental surgery, is located on Rydal Road in Ambleside. This building dates back to the 19th century and stands opposite Mill Cottage. It is constructed of roughcast stone rubble and features a slate roof with three storeys. The entrance consists of a centre flush-panelled and studded door, topped with a horizontal fanlight, all set within a rusticated stone frame that includes a cornice. The ground floor has two sash windows, while the first floor has three 16-paned sashes, and the top floor has three 9-paned sashes, all with sills.
