Description
Lincoln House is a building that has been converted into a dental surgery. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and has undergone some later alterations. The structure is made of red brick laid in Flemish bond and features a Welsh-slate roof with a rendered moulded eaves cornice and brick end stacks. The house has three storeys and a cellar, with a three-window range. The windows are 8/8 sashes, while the smaller windows on the second floor are 4/8 sashes. All windows have painted channelled voussoirs, keystones, and sill-bands. The central entrance is framed by a Classical architrave with tapering corniced pilasters, a decorative fanlight with radial glazing bars, and a six-panel door. The entrance is accessed by three steps, two of which are made of stone and have nosed edges. The building has a painted plinth and a cellar grille on the left side. The interior has not been inspected. Historically, the house was formerly owned by a tanning family.
