Description

A house, now shops and offices, dating from the second half of the 18th century and altered later. The building is constructed primarily of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern. It has a renewed plain roof with brick dentilled eaves. The house follows a double-depth plan. The exterior is three storeys high and features a three-window facade. The first floor has 6/6 sash windows, while the upper floor has smaller 3/9 sashes. All windows have painted sills and are set within gauged-brick flat arches. The ground floor contains two 20th-century plate glass shopfronts; the shopfront on the right likely incorporates the remains of a former carriage entrance. Portions of the right-hand return and rear elevations were rebuilt in the 20th century. The interior was not inspected.
