Description

This is a late 18th and early 19th century house, now shops and offices, located on the High Street in Pershore. It incorporates earlier fabric, likely dating back to the 17th century. The building is constructed of brick, which has been rendered and lined with stucco. It has a concrete-tile roof with an altered pitch at the front and deep, bracketed eaves. Brick stacks are visible on the ridge of the roof and at the right-hand end, the latter being external and rendered.

The building is three storeys high and has a five-window front, with two wings at the rear. The windows are boxed sash windows; those on the first floor have six panes per sash, while those on the second floor are smaller, with three panes per sash. All windows have projecting sills. The ground floor features two 20th-century shopfronts. The shopfront on the left incorporates earlier moulded mullions, while the central doorway has panelled reveals, a leaded cornice supported by large consoles, an infilled decorative overlight, and a 20th-century door. A plinth runs along the base of the building. The rear wings are of brick, with the north wing featuring a timber-framed gable. The interior has not been inspected. It was formerly used as a Dame’s school.
