Description
Corbrig, Planetree House is a pair of houses located to the southwest of Bridge House, likely built in the 18th century. The buildings are constructed of slate rubble with dressed slate quoins and feature two storeys beneath a slate roof. Corbrig, the southern house, has a lean-to timber porch with a 12-paned window at the front, a 16-paned sash window on the ground floor, and two additional sash windows above. Planetree House features a glazed and panelled door with an open porch supported by Chinese latticed timber posts topped with a pyramidal roof. It has two 16-paned sash windows on the ground floor, three above, and another sash window in the centre of the gable. For group reference, see the general group description under Rydal Road.
