Description

1. 1291A AMBLESIDE BRIDGE STREET No 4 NY 3704 1/9 II GV 2. Set on the river bank opposite the Old Mill Studios, and was once probably also a mill building. Roughcast slate building, mainly 3 storeys. The lower level has a door and modern window. The middle level has 2 boarded doors and 2 8-paned sash windows. The top floor has 2 8-paned sashes. The roof is hidden by a level parapet with a centre lozenge, and 3 round chimneys at each side, giving the effect of battlements. The facade towards the river has 4 storeys, with a new gable. Old Mill studios,Nos 2 to 6 (consec) and Ghyll Side form a group with Stock Cottage, North Road.
