Description

Eskew Beck Farmhouse and the adjoining barn are likely from the 17th century, with later additions and alterations. The buildings are constructed of slobbered rubble with quoins and feature a graduated slate roof. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a total of six bays, with the original four-bay house extended by one bay into the barn. The original house includes a segment-headed plank door, a 20th-century casement window to the right, and two more to the left. On the first floor, there are two 20th-century casements, a blocked original window, and a sash window with glazing bars. The extension into the barn on the right has a segment-headed plank door within a 20th-century glazed porch, along with an original three-light, wood-mullioned window above it, a fixed segment-headed window, and a large plank door on the right. There is also a wagon entrance accessed by a ramp at the rear. The original house features stone end chimneys, one of which is stepped.
