Description

Plum Tree Bank is a detached house dating from the early 19th century, situated set back from Cheltenham Road in Winstone. The house is constructed of fine limestone ashlar with a prominent plain string course at first floor level, topped by a stone slate roof, and features brick gable stacks. A parallel range extends to the side, utilising double Roman tiles. The main facade has two storeys and two wide-spaced windows, each containing sixteen-pane sash windows within reveals. The central entrance features a four-panel fielded door beneath a plain transome light. A late 20th-century garage has been added to the right side. The building is a well-preserved example of a late Georgian facade and demonstrates group value with nearby buildings.
