Description

Number 5 on Market Street is a dwelling and shop dating from the 18th century. The building features a rendered exterior on a timber frame and has a concrete tile roof. It is two stories high and has two windows with sash frames that include glazing bars. The shop front, which is from the 19th century, is pilastered and has a deep-set central door with a moulded surround, leading to a wide door on the left that opens to a through-way. The upper level at the back reveals the exposed timber frame. This building is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
