Description

No. 4 High Street is a dwelling and shop dating from the 18th century, with a 19th-century facade. It is constructed of painted brick and has a clay double roman tile roof. The building forms a pair with No. 6, although it has a lower roof pitch. It is two storeys high and features two very wide-spaced sash windows with glazing bars, which are set under stone stepped voussoirs with projecting keystones. The shop front, which dates from the 19th century, spans the full width of the building. This property is included primarily for its group value.
