Description

Number 6 High Street is a dwelling and shop dating from the 18th century, with a 19th-century facade. The building features a painted brick front and a rubble rear, all covered with clay double Roman tiles on steep pitches. It has a wide frontage and a deep projecting wing at the rear. The structure is two storeys high, with two wide-spaced sash windows that have glazing bars, set under stone stepped voussoirs with projecting keystones. The full-width shop front is from the 19th century. This building is included primarily for its group value, as it forms a pair with Number 4.
