Description

No. 11 Market Street is a dwelling that was formerly also a shop, dating from the 16th century or earlier. It features a rendered timber frame and a clay double Roman tile roof. The gable faces the street and is continuous with the adjacent property, No. 13. There is a stone stack on the right, with the upper stage made of brick. The building has three storeys and one window. The gable has a two-light oriel window, while the first floor features a three-light 'Jacobean' oriel, both of which are roofed with stone slate. The modern ground floor projects forward under a moulded fascia, which is at the top of the former shop front. The entrance includes a four-panel door with planted mouldings.
