Description
Ruscombe United Reformed Church, originally a Congregational Chapel, was built in 1828. It features ashlar limestone and a Welsh slate roof. The building is rectangular with a lobby and stair projection at the south end. On the west side, there are three windows on two levels, all round-arched with keystones and keystone-shaped imposts, and the windows have glazing bars for the round-arched lights. A plain upper level sill course is present. To the right, there is a doorway in a similar opening that projects slightly, accompanied by a small frontispiece, a blank inscription panel, and a moulded cornice above. The gabled ends of the parapet each have two upper level round-arched windows and a round-arched gable slit vent. At the south end, there is a lower central parapet gabled stair lobby with a tall round-arched window. A corridor to the left, with a lean-to roof, connects to the entrance doorway. The interior has not been inspected.
