Description
Rock Terrace is a row of three houses built in the early 19th century. The front is made of ashlar stone, while the sides and rear are constructed from coursed rubble. The chimneys are rebuilt in yellow brick, and the roof is covered with Welsh slate. The buildings are three stories high, with a three-story rear outshut.
The front facade features three windows for Nos 2 and 3, each with a central round-arched doorway. No 3 has a six-panel door with a plain fanlight above it, while No 2 has a 20th-century gabled porch. No 3 has small-paned casements, and No 2 has windows without glazing bars. No 1 has two windows and a round-arched doorway with a 20th-century door. There are false painted windows above the doorways of Nos 2 and 3. A plain band runs at sill level on the middle floor, and the ends of the parapet are gabled. There are four chimneys mounted on the ridge.
At the rear, there is a contemporary outshut with a catslide roof for No 1, while Nos 2 and 3 have brick-built outshut additions. The outshuts are built into a raised roadway, with doorways at the upper floor level. The interior has not been inspected.
