Description
Randwick Methodist Chapel is a Methodist chapel dated 1824, constructed from coursed rubble limestone with a Welsh slate roof. The building is rectangular and built into a bank at the north end. The front features a parapet end gable with plain coping and a panel that forms a large pediment, topped with a timber boarded bellcote. An oval panel in the tympanum is inscribed 'Randwick Chapel / Built 1807 / Rebuilt 1824'. There are two large pointed windows with intersecting tracery, a linking sill band, and a clock face in an octagonal surround between them. Each side has two 2-light pointed windows with Y-tracery, each accompanied by a 2-light square-headed casement below. On the east side, there are two doorways with stone lintels. The rear gable end features a 2-window arrangement with 3-light mullioned casements on two levels. The interior is plain, and many windows contain leading and coloured glass.
