Description
Beeches Cottage is a detached house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone, with some areas roughcast rendered, and features a rendered and concrete block chimney. The roof is made of stone slate.
The building is two-storey with an attic. The front has a full gable on the left and a half gable on the right. There are off-centre, two-light chamfered mullioned casements in the left gable, with the ground floor window having a hoodmould that rises over a blocked doorway and continues over the present doorway to the right. To the left of the full gable, there is a small single-light window on each floor, and an oval window in the attic. Below the half gable, there are two-light casements. The central eaves-mounted gabled dormer has an iron casement. The gable end chimneys project and have moulded caps, with the south end chimney featuring a buttress. The interior has not been inspected.
