Description

STANDISH STANDISH VILLAGE SO 80 NW 7/265 Dowdeswell Monument, about 3m south east of Mary Butt Monument in churchyard of Church of St. Nicholas GV II Chest tomb. Dowdeswell family, Samuel 1807 earliest. Part limestone, part sandstone. Flat top, moulded plinth and capping on large base, slightly indented ends with raised panels. Sandstone sides have large plain raised ovals against reeded ground.
