Description

The Morgan Memorial is a chest tomb located about 1 metre south of the Biggs memorial in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat top with a tooled edge, long quarter balusters, and a plain plinth. The inscriptions, which are weathered, are found in plain panels on all sides, with the earliest decipherable date being 1778. At the time of the survey on June 11, 1984, the tomb was noted to be sinking at the northwest corner.
