Description

This chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is located about 45 yards south of the nave of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features a moulded plinth and flat capping. The tomb has raised inscription panels, although the inscriptions are not legible, with the date 1796 being visible. It occupies a prominent position in the churchyard and is included for its group value.
