Description
This is a house dating to around 1870, located in Brunswick Square, Gloucester. The front is built of stuccoed brick, with a hipped slate roof featuring boxed eaves and brick stacks. It is a double-depth block with a long wing to the rear.
The exterior has three storeys and a full basement. The front façade has two bays and a raised band at second-floor level. A projecting, single-storey porch with decorative cast-ironwork is situated to the right, approached by a long flight of stone steps. To the left is a canted bay window that extends from the basement to the ground floor, featuring a wide sash window to the front and narrower sashes on the sides, all framed by pilasters, a crowning cornice, and a continuous projecting sill. The first floor has two sash windows, and the second floor has two similar sash windows, each with central vertical glazing bars in plain openings with projecting stone sills.
The interior was not inspected. The house is an integral feature within a group of good early to mid-19th century houses in Brunswick Square.
