Description
A pair of houses built around 1825, situated in a terrace in Gloucester. The front of the houses are faced with ashlar brickwork, with a slate roof and brick stacks. They are based on a double-depth block design, with rear wings and front basement areas.
The houses are three storeys high, with semi-basements. The front elevation features a raised sill band on the first floor and a moulded cornice with a blocking course along the top. Each house has a doorway on the right-hand side, approached by stone steps with wrought-iron balustrades. The doorways have semicircular arched heads. The doorway to Number 6 has a decorative fanlight in a batswing pattern, and both doorways have six-panelled doors. Large sash windows with 4x4 glazing bars are located to the left of each doorway. The first floor of each house has two sashes, and the second floor has two shorter sashes, all with 3x4 glazing bars in plain openings. The ground floor and first-floor windows of Number 7 have decorative wrought-iron bow-fronted window guards. The interior of the houses has not been inspected. The front area of Number 7 has wrought-iron railings.
