Description

These are a pair of houses built around 1825, forming part of a terrace in Brunswick Square, Gloucester. The front is faced with ashlar and the roof is slate, with brick stacks. They are a double-depth block design, incorporating rear wings and front basement areas.

The exterior features a raised band at the level of the first-floor window sills, a moulded cornicing with a decorative frieze band, and a coped parapet. Each house has a front doorway with semicircular arched heads, batswing pattern fanlights, and six-panelled doors, approached by a flight of stone steps. To the left of each doorway is a large sash window with 4x4 panes. The upper floors each have two sashes with 3x4 panes, set in plain openings. The first-floor windows of number 4 have decorative, bow-fronted wrought-iron window guards. The interior has not been inspected.
