Description

This house dates from around 1840 and is constructed of stucco, with a slate roof. It is two storeys high and consists of five bays. A first-floor sill course runs across the front, and there is a top entablature. The first bay is recessed, the second bay is lower with a cornice and hipped roof, and the end bay features a two-storey canted bay window. Windows have architraves and are sash windows with glazing bars; the canted bay has paired sashes, and the third and fourth bays have a four-bay porch with a colonnade of antae. The end bay of the porch has a window with a pediment. Behind the porch are three round-headed windows, and the entrance is in the return. A panelled balcony above the porch incorporates two canted bay windows. A 20th-century entrance has been added to the second bay, as have two round-headed windows to the return. The third bay has a 20th-century belvedere. Tall, panelled stacks are present.
