Description
This is a house, built around 1840 and later divided into two separate residences, 5A and 5B, Fulwood Park. The exterior is stuccoed. The building is two storeys high, with seven bays in total, the first two bays set back and containing a single storey. The fourth bay projects forward, topped with a pediment, while the sixth bay is recessed. Architectural details include raised panelled and rusticated quoins, a top string course, a modillioned cornice, and a parapet. The windows have architraves, and are sash windows. The ground floor windows are fitted with friezes and consoled cornices, while those on the first floor have projecting ears. A recessed porch is situated in the second bay, featuring a distyle-in-antis Ionic colonnade with round arches between the columns and a balustrade. The sixth bay features paired windows, and a new entrance with a porch supported by four Doric columns on plinths has been added. A 20th-century extension to the right, along with a tetrastyle loggia, forms a further property (5C), likely built on the footprint of a former coach house.
