Description

The drinking fountain at the south end of the lake in Sefton Park dates from around 1870 and is likely the work of André and Hornblower. It is made of sandstone and designed in the High Victorian Gothic style. The fountain is square with a round basin on each side and features chamfered corners. Under an open canopy, there are four entwined dolphins supported by marble columns that have foliated capitals and trefoil cusping.
