House. Early C19, probable rebuilding of C18 structure with late C19 alterations and additions. Stucco, hipped, slate roof with overhanging eaves, and large brick stacks at rear. Two storeys to front, 3 storeys to rear, and cellar. E-shaped plan, long range on north/south axis with lower arm forming front elevation. Front elevation: 3 bays; windows have moulded architraves and are glazing bar sashes except for central first floor window which has a large cross casement; central entrance has a late C19 flat-roofed ashlar porch of banded rustication with clasped pilasters at corners, voussoirs and large keyblock above a part-glazed door, the lower 2 panels of which are raised and fielded; round-arched lights in side walls; within porch entrance door is part-glazed and has a traceried fanlight. Interior: main rooms have moulded cornices and doorheads; main stair hall has raised panelling; stop-chamfered main beams in rear part.
