Description

White Lodge is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stucco with a hipped slate roof, featuring overhanging eaves and large brick stacks to the left side, as well as a main ridge and gable end to the rear wing. The house is two storeys high, with a sill band below the first-floor windows. It has a roughly U-shaped design, comprising a main range running east to west, a rear wing to the west, and a cross-wing projecting from the east side. The front elevation has clasping pilasters at either end and a main range of three bays plus one bay of the cross-wing. The windows have moulded architraves and contain 16-pane sashes, with larger windows on the ground floor of the main range and smaller windows on the first floor. The cross-wing has a small ground and first-floor window. The main entrance is located in an angle with the cross-wing and is sheltered by a flat-roofed porch with a moulded cornice. The porch has two round-headed archways with keyblocks and imposts. Within the porch are two similar archways, with a part-glazed door inserted into the left archway and a round-arched window below a sill band to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
