11/270 Boughton monument in churchyard, about 5m east of south-east corner of south porch, Church of St. Peter and St. Paul

Chest tomb; Joseph Boughton, died 1769; stone. Flat lid, with overhang with plain chamfer to edge. Corners quarter-square gadrooned balusters, sunflowers carved on lower part. Sides winged head in top centre, with scrolled edging to top and sides of panel. West end fielded panel, with large patera in top half; east fielded panel with segmental head, rococo carving in spandrels. Chamfered plinth. Later inscriptions up to 1864.
