Description
This is a mid-18th century chest tomb located in the churchyard about 12 meters south of the east end of the vestry at the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Westbury-on-Severn. The tomb is made of stone and features a flat lid with a hollow chamfer along the edge. The corners of the tomb have the remains of quarter-square gadrooned balusters. The sides include a main center panel that is framed by rococo carving, with narrow end panels that are carved with hanging drapery. The west end has a raised margin adorned with a stylised flower, while the east end shows signs of erosion.
