Description

Stantway Court is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of grey random rubble stone with roughly coursed layers, featuring larger, squared red quoins and window voussoirs. The roof is slate-covered. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with a three-window front, and extends over two-and-a-half storeys.

The symmetrical front facade features a door consisting of two flush panels below and four glazed panes above. The door is set within a segmental-headed arch formed by stone voussoirs, with horizontal red stone extending outwards on each side to resemble ears. A hipped, slated porch, supported by a cast-iron frame, protects the entrance. The windows are four-pane sashes, with the upper sash also featuring a segmental head; the lintels are similar to the door's arch, each incorporating a projecting keystone. The first floor also has windows of the same design, and three hipped dormers with two-light wooden casements, each light comprising six panes, with segmental heads to the glazing. Parapet gables include moulded projecting kneeler stones, and brick gable chimneys are topped with stone cornices.

The right return side has a plinth and a window to the collar. A long rear wing extends from the main section, with a small block incorporated into the corner.
