Description
The monument to William Boughten is located in the churchyard about 18 metres southeast of the southeast corner of the chancel of the Church of St Mary. This chest tomb dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is made of sandstone. It features a flat top with a moulded edge, a fluted frieze, slightly bolstered ends, and fielded panels on the north and south sides, along with a moulded base. The earliest legible inscription on the tomb is dated 1815, but the design suggests it is likely from the late 18th century.
