11/219 Hall monument in churchyard, about 10m south-east of north gate to Bell Lane, Church of St. Peter and St. Paul

GV II

Pedestal tomb; 1837; stone. Pyramid top with step to flat lid with moulded edge. Sides have indented corners, reflected in lid and plinth. Frieze 2 triple flutings either side of a patera. West face oval panel framed by projecting moulded chain of leaves; north and south flat with outline of shield formed by groove; east raised panel with spray of leaves over top half. Moulded top to plinth, all set on flat slab base at ground level. Part of initial inscription weathered away; to '.... son of .... and Sarah Hall', died 1837; Richard Hall died 1851, his wife 1870.
