Description

This milestone, located approximately 150 meters north of The Hare and Hounds, dates from the mid 18th century to the early 19th century. It is made of limestone and features a cast iron plaque. The stone has a segmental head and the plaque is inscribed with the distances to Stow (13 miles), Cirencester (6 miles), and Bath (6 miles).
