Description

This milestone, located beside the A429 on the west side, is approximately 350 metres south-west of the turning to Bourton-on-the-Water. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and is made of limestone with a cast-iron plaque. The milestone has a rectangular slab with a segmental head, featuring a rectangular plaque that bears the raised inscription 'STOW 4 / CIRENCESTER 15 / BATH 48'.
