Description

Pasture Farmhouse, dated 1837, is a typical farmhouse of its time, despite some alterations. It is constructed from coursed and dressed rubble, topped with slate roofs featuring coped verges and ashlar chimneys. The building has two storeys and three windows with segmental heads, although these have modern glazing. A central projecting porch boasts a tall parapet and a moulded cornice. At the rear, there are two projecting wings with a modern central entrance lobby that now includes a datestone. There are also lower extensions with tiled roofs, accessible from the yard through a gate.

To the north, there is a semi-circular garden enclosed by a wall approximately 2 feet 6 inches high, featuring gate piers aligned with the front door. The side walls, which project from the house, are about 7 feet high and include doors that form returns.
