Description

Wayside is a mid-19th century, two-storey cottage that has been altered. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with a slate roof and end chimneys. There is a band above the ground floor. The cottage features two 16-pane sash windows with raised surrounds on the first floor, and angled bays on the ground floor. A former central tented porch has been removed, and the original doorway has been converted into a window. To the right, there is a lower one-window extension that includes a segment-headed casement window on the first floor and an elliptical-headed coach entry on the ground floor. The entrance is now located on the left side.
