Blockley Park Farmhouse

II

Early C18 L-plan farmhouse with early C19 extension and with angle filled by mid-C19 'polite' extension. Two storeys and attic, coursed rubble the earlier stone rough, the C19 stone dressed. Three windows, irregular casements, the left hand 2 ranges segment-headed, the right hand sashes with single vertical glazing bars. An irregular range of 2-light mullioned windows to right (drip on ground floor); blocked door, now a fireplace, see brick chimney over. West end has gable to left with single light c1700 window with drip in gable and mullioned C19 windows below with bay on ground floor; lower 2 storey hipped extension to right with one range of 3-light casement windows, half-glazed door with transom light. South end has one range of 3-light mullion windows to left and early C19 kitchen extension to right. Interior: older part has stop-chamfered beams and joists; former west wall of cl700 house (now internal) has 2 ranges of single light windows; stone square head fireplace in south extension.
