Description
Blockley Park Farmhouse is an early 18th century L-plan farmhouse that features an early 19th century extension, with the angle filled by a mid-19th century 'polite' extension. The building is two storeys high with an attic, constructed of coursed rubble stone, which is rough for the earlier sections and dressed for the 19th century parts. It has three windows with irregular casements; the two on the left side are segment-headed, while the right side has sashes with single vertical glazing bars. To the right, there is an irregular range of 2-light mullioned windows with a drip on the ground floor, and a blocked door that has been converted into a fireplace, indicated by a brick chimney above.
The west end features a gable on the left with a single light window from around 1700, which has a drip in the gable, and below it are mullioned 19th century windows along with a bay window on the ground floor. To the right, there is a lower two-storey hipped extension that includes a range of three 3-light casement windows and a half-glazed door with a transom light. The south end has a range of 3-light mullion windows on the left and an early 19th century kitchen extension on the right. Inside, the older part of the farmhouse has stop-chamfered beams and joists, and the former west wall of the 1700 house, now internal, has two ranges of single light windows. There is also a stone square-headed fireplace in the south extension.
