Description
Oak Lodge Farm House is an 18th-century farmhouse with a significant early 19th-century extension to the west. The original house is constructed from brick and flint, while the extension is made of gault brick and features a slate roof. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall. The 19th-century wing faces west and consists of three bays, with a central part glazed door that is sheltered by a semi-circular portico supported by fluted Doric columns and a plain entablature. The ground floor windows are 20th-century replacements in the original openings, featuring blind boxes and set in shallow recesses with semi-circular heads. The first-floor windows are sashes with glazing bars and flat gauged brick arches. The roof is hipped, and there are external stacks.
