Description
Old House is a late 18th-century house constructed of colourwashed brick and topped with a black pantile roof. Originally built as a single pile structure with three storeys, it has since had a two-storey extension and a wing added at the rear and to the north. The front facade features three bays, with half-height windows on the second floor. The central entrance has a raised and fielded six-panel door framed by a timber doorcase with engaged Doric columns, a frieze, and a projecting cornice. The ground floor includes sash windows with margin lights and flat gauged brick arches, while the first and second floors have sash windows with glazing bars and flat gauged brick arches. The eaves are timber with paired brackets, and there are gault brick gable stacks at the parapet eaves. The northern extension has a brick plinth, a ground floor sash window with glazing bars and margin lights, and two first-floor sash windows with glazing bars, all featuring segmental brick arches. It also has a moulded timber eaves board.
