Description
The White House is a house from the 19th century, possibly with an earlier core. It is built of rendered brick and has a smut pantiled roof. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall, featuring a 20th-century single-storey flat-roofed extension to the west. The facade is asymmetrical with five bays, including an off-centre door and a sash window with a semi-circular head and glazing bars above. The entrance features a raised and fielded four-panel door set within a timber doorcase that has panelled reveals, pilasters, and an entablature topped with a modillion cornice. The sash windows have segmental heads and glazing bars. The house is adorned with a timber modillion cornice and has a hipped roof, with stacks located at the rear.
