Description
2 Laundry Cottages are semi-detached estate cottages built in 1859. They are constructed of red brick and feature shaped plain tiles. The building has a double pile plan and stands two storeys high. The facade facing the road includes three windows and a central blind porch that is single storey. The porch has a plinth, a carved timber door frame, moulded brick kneelers, and a stepped parapet gable topped with a crest. Inside, there are oak seats and a tiled floor. The windows are three-light casements with stone sills, splayed reveals, hood moulds, and label stops. The exterior features a brick plinth, a string course at first floor level, and moulded brick eaves. The double stepped gables have moulded brick kneelers. There are central axial stacks on each ridge, which have moulded bases, three octagonal shafts, and battlemented tops.
