Description

Rose Cottage and Pansy Cottage are a pair of cottages dating from the early 18th century. They were likely used as a laundry and bakehouse at one time. The cottages are constructed of brown brick with a plain tiled roof. They have a basement and two storeys, with a garret above, set on a plinth and with box eaves. The gables have kneelers and stacks are situated at the left and right ends. There are two wooden cross windows on each floor; the ground floor windows have segmental heads, and boarded doors are present to the left and right of the building. A basement opening is located at the bottom right. The interior retains some original doors and fittings, along with large timber floor joists.
