Description

Durlock Lodge is a house dating from the 18th century, with additions from the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof, and has an irregular plan. The entrance front features projecting wings to the left and right, and a single-storey extension to the left. A modillion eaves cornice runs along the top of the building, where it meets hipped roofs, with chimneys positioned to the left, centre, and right. The windows are arranged irregularly and consist of glazing bar sashes. The central entrance has a pair of panelled doors within a moulded surround, set within a recessed area. The return and rear elevations are also characterised by a modillion eaves cornice, hipped roofs, dormers, and glazing bar sashes throughout.
